Save Money

If you go through tires quickly and it's that time of the year to buy new ones, consider military tires. Every year there is a surplus of unused tires. When they don't get used, they will get destroyed. Because of the massive waste each year, the United States Military has put a retreading program into effect. Documents online outline the exact specifics of how it works so  investigate the standards before fully committing. There are certain standards that must be adhered when retreading tires so it ensures you aren't getting a bad tire that will be useless in a week. Quality can be assured because A. They were made for military and B. Michelin predominantly supplies them. Buying 4 new tires can get really expensive and with all the potholes and debris on the road it makes sense to get a used tire. Finding these kinds of tires online is easy, there are many family owned tire stores out there that buy them from the U.S Forces directly,  it just takes some time to compare prices.

Save the Environment!

Burning tires is hazardous to the environment. Every year, millions are tires are destroyed creating nasty and violent fumes that spread across the earth. When tires burn, chemicals which are toxic get released into the atmosphere. These chemicals are not only extremely dangerous for humans to inhale, but are also very bad for Earth. Our planet does not need anymore pollution and every person that tries to cut down on pollution makes a difference to the air we breathe! Pollution affects the environment greatly and damages our delicate atmosphere that protects the planet. Fuel made from tires has been an option, but many environmentalists  disagree with methods used to get the fuel because the chemicals released hurt people and the world's health more than it's worth. Help cut down on production of tires by lowering demand and taking advantage of used military tires. Save a buck and contribute the environment.
